Courage and perseverance are key for business owners

As Tucson gets ready for the rodeo this weekend, I thought I would share a quote by John Wayne, “Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway.” Lisa Lockhart, a legendary rodeo barrel racer, also said, “I always just say that life is a roller coaster, and you better be along for the whole ride. It’s hard not to let the lows define you, but I think that’s where the tough get tougher. It is a mindset to fight your way back to the top. Determination is a huge factor in the outcome” (both quotes published in Cowboys & Indians 11/30/24). Being a business owner is tough, the trick is to saddle up every day and if you fall, get back on the horse, if you fall again, do the same.
