The IRS will NO longer accept or send paper checks

Effective September 30, 2025, the IRS will no longer accept paper checks or money orders for payment of any taxes. The IRS will also no longer send paper checks for tax refunds. What this means for you as a business owner is you will have to make your tax payments electronically. There are several electronic payment platforms where you can make tax payments: www.eftps.gov, www.irs.gov/payments and the IRS2Go Mobile App. As with anything tax-related, be sure to consult with a qualified tax professional with any tax-related questions.
