First bite of the elephant, check in or create a professional team for your business

Every year you (the business owner) should check in with your professional team. You don’t need to have a meeting with everyone in January and many times later in the quarter or in the second quarter makes more sense, but set your appointments now, even if they are in the future. This way the annual check-in will not get lost. If you do not have a professional team, now is the time to get one (please). Other professionals to add to your team are a qualified business insurance broker/agent to ensure you are properly insured for your industry, qualified financial planner to guide you in achieving your retirement goals, and a qualified intellectual property attorney to ensure your brand and intellectual property is protected.
